The term health tourism, sometimes referred to as medical tourism, therapeutic tourism, or therapeutic tourism, The Persian equivalent of the phrase "Medical Tourism" is a word that is also called Health Tourism or Wellness Tourism in English.

Health tourism is the travel of individuals to a foreign country for medical and therapeutic purposes that ultimately help improve their health.

These people decide to travel abroad to treat certain diseases, perform various types of surgeries (especially cosmetic surgeries), perform dental procedures, or treat infertility in order to potentially benefit from better medical services with a higher chance of success, and also to pay less than what they would have to pay in their own country.

Rules for accepting international patients:

* Hospitalization and admission of patients will change with the opinion of the Infection Control Committee to care for diseases transmitted by disease outbreaks and the testing surveillance system based on international laws and in the event of disease outbreaks and epidemics.

* General tests are routinely performed for all admitted and hospitalized patients, including HIV, HBs, HCV, and PPD, and tests requested by the physician. CCHF testing is performed for patients with fever and suspicious symptoms from Turkey, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and India.

* A cholera test is performed for patients admitted from Iraq and Syria if they have diarrhea.

* If patients from Saudi Arabia and Iraq present with fever and cold symptoms, H1N1 and coronavirus tests are performed.

* In the event of unknown diseases and specific symptoms, most patients are referred to an infectious disease consultation.

* In case of direct contact between the patient and the center and direct admission through the hospital, the patient should send all of his/her documents, including tests, CT scan, MRI, case summary if the patient is hospitalized in a medical center in his/her country, and other documents required by the treating physician, by email.

According to the laws governing medical centers in the Islamic Republic of Iran, services provided to patients are the same, and nationality, race, religion, skin color, etc. cannot cause differences in the care and treatment program. Therefore, every individual (Iranian or non-Iranian) has the following rights:
